Dating Profile Photo Shoot

📸 You will be allowed up to 4 (quick) outfit changes in a 45-minute shoot. PLEASE NOTE: You should bring more options than you plan to wear, so Natalie can advise you on which ones will photograph the best.)
 

📸  Casual, natural looking backgrounds for the shoot will be chosen by your photographer. Photos will taken indoors and/or outdoors, depending on the weather. Please bring a couple of weather-appropriate wardrobe choices, so we have the most flexibility. 

📸  Your photographer will direct you on posing and facial expression to bring out the best in you. She will then select, and lightly edit, the best photos for your dating profile. The finished photos will be delivered to you both in high resolution (for printing, if you wish) and in web resolution for posting to your dating profile.

📸  This photo shoot is unique, in that half of your photos will be taken with a professional camera, and half will be taken with an iphone. This is done so you don't end up with all of your photos looking *too* "professional" on your profile, which can arouse suspicions of people on dating sites about how "real" you actually are. (Don't worry, I take great photos with an iphone, too! In fact, most of my own professional headshots have been taken as selfies on my iphone.)

📸  You will be granted both a print and commercial release for the photos resulting from your session, which means you may print them, and/or use them for your website, business cards, professional headshots, etc.

📸  Please note: This is a dating profile shoot, NOT a boudoir or glamour shoot, so please plan outfits and set your expectations accordingly.

📸  You will receive 10 finished, lightly edited digital image files from your shoot, in both high resolution (for printing if you desire) and low resolution (for easy upload to a dating site). The photos you receive from the shoot will be chosen by your photographer, based on her expertise.

Plan to book your shoot date for a couple of weeks before you anticipate finishing your dating profile (in Module 10) and putting your profile up on a dating site. 

This means you should purchase your shoot and schedule it at least a month before that, to ensure availability of desired dates/times, especially if your travel schedule isn't particularly flexible. 

For example, let's say you joined the program on January 1, and you are following the recommended program pace of 1-2 modules per week. You'd want to book your shoot for somewhere around 6-8 weeks after your program join date, which means you'd get it on the schedule fairly soon after joining. So, by January 14, you'd want to purchase and schedule your shoot, for some time mid-late February. 

Of course, if you've already finished your program and profile, and you just want to refresh your profile with better photos, you can book any time. 

The photo shoot does NOT include:

• hair and makeup services
• printed photos
• extensive editing
• glamour or boudoir photos
• extra people in the photos
• provision of props or wardrobe items

After completing your purchase, you will be redirected to a thank you page containing a link to schedule your shoot. 

It is recommended that you get a hotel room for the night before your shoot, as I only do photo shoots during specific times of day, and you will want to be fresh and rested (and have a place to get dressed and ready) for your shoot. Also, you wouldn't want a plane delay causing you to miss your shoot.

Depending on your departing flight schedule, you may or may not want/need to get a room for a 2nd night following your shoot. 

RECOMMENDED HOTELS:

For accommodations, we are recommending you book your stay at your choice of two different hotels for these events -- The Westin Lake Las Vegas, and The Hilton Lake Las Vegas. Both are high end, beautiful hotels, in a gorgeous location, that is very convenient to my house (where you will have your photo shoot). The Westin is larger and newer, but the Hilton is quite lovely, is more affordable, and is situated in a quaint little walkable village with restaurants, shops, bars, and even a small grocery store/deli. You can find hotel addresses and contact info at the websites linked above. We do NOT recommend booking a hotel room elsewhere in Henderson or on the Strip, as Henderson is huge, and we are on the far end of it. 

I only do photo shoots certain times of day, and you will want to be fresh for your shoot, not tired from a redeye flight. In addition, flight delays happen, so we recommend flying in the day before your shoot, and getting a hotel room for the night before the shoot. You can book your flight back home for later in the day after your shoot, as long as you leave ample time and you arrive to your shoot on time. However, most people prefer to book their hotel room for one more night, following their shoot, and give themselves a little "me" time. 

Since the shoot locations are at my private home, the address will be provided only after you have purchased your shoot (in the FAQ, on the thank you page where you will be directed after completing payment). 

You will fly into LAS (Las Vegas International Airport, aka Harry Reid International, aka McCarran International. Yes, they are all the same airport.) 

For ground transportation at either location, we strongly recommend renting a car, since ordering up multiple Uber rides can add up to big costs, and Ubers in the area are not always reliable and therefore may cause you to be late to your shoot or late getting back to the airport. 

If you do choose to Uber instead of drive, schedule your rides in advance. 

The shoot location (my home) is about 35 minutes from the airport. 

The shoot location is about 10 minutes from the recommended hotels. 

YES, these photo shoots are available ONLY to YLLM program members. 

Cancellation, Reschedule, & Refund Policy:

• If you request a refund before you have actually scheduled your shoot, you will be given a partial refund. (A $250 administrative fee will be deducted from the amount of your payment and retained by your photographer.)
• Once your shoot date and time are scheduled, a $500 non-refundable retainer applies. $500 will therefore be deducted from your refund and retained by your photographer if you cancel your shoot.
• If you no-show for your appointment, there will be no refund. 
• If a legitimate emergency or travel delay causes you to need to cancel your shoot, you will be allowed to reschedule for another date/time. If you cancel (not reschedule) with less than 24 hours' notice, there will be no refund. 
• Once your shoot is completed, there will be no refund. 

You will be allowed up to 4 (quick) outfit changes in a 45-minute shoot. Bring items that are flattering, and that reflect your personality and lifestyle. Most importantly, bring items that meet the criteria outlined in the list of "recommended shots" included in Module 10, Lesson 4 of the YLLM program. 

PLEASE NOTE: You should bring more options than you plan to wear, so Natalie can advise you on which ones will photograph the best.

If you are still feeling lost on what to bring, be sure to include at least:

• one pair of jeans and a nice "going out" top....
• one "date night" dress,
• one super casual/sporty outfit...

The rest is up to you, but here are some tips for what types of items you could include in your shoot wardrobe:

• clothes that are true to what you might look like on the types of dates you enjoy the most.
• something weather-appropriate for the forecast in the area, because we will definitely do a couple of outdoor shots, too, as long as it's not raining. (In the summer, a sundress is great. In the fall/winter, make sure to include a light sweater and/or jacket. Try to avoid super bulky coats.) 
• clothes that show off your shape (whether you love your shape or not, big/baggy/boxy generally doesn't flatter anyone.) Of course, keep in mind especially showing off your BEST features. But don't go TOO tight, or TOO revealing.
• clothes that fit your lifestyle and personality
• clothes that represent your profession or favorite hobbies (For example, if you like hiking, tennis, biking, painting, or if you are a chef, you could pick one outfit that shows off that hobby or profession.)
• please keep in mind VARIETY when it comes to colors and styles
• colors (at least on top) work better than black or white (a little black dress is an exception)
• solids or small prints work better than large or busy prints

To be clear, NONE of the above are must-haves, and please don't bring ALL of the above. If you do that, we'll spend too much of our time choosing outfits, and not enough time taking pictures!

There are no hair/makeup services included with this session. It is recommended that you do your own hair and makeup exactly as you would for a nice "date night," so that you will look very similar to how you would look when you show up to a first date.

To have me travel to you for your shoot would be a LOT more expensive, *starting at $5000, depending on your location, for my travel time and expenses. In addition, you would need to provide suitable shooting locations. 

For most people, this means that it makes more sense for them to find a local photographer to do their photos than to pay for me to come to their location. If you choose this option, please make sure you provide your photographer with all of our guidelines for profile photos in Module 10.
